R ealtek audio driver is the most commonly used audio driver software to produce high quality enhanced sound on Windows operating system. It is very reliable and portable sound card driver for Windows computer. Most of the Windows operating system users use Realtek audio driver for its flexibility and dependencies.
Hi Nemesis,I understand you have sound quality issue after upgrading to Windows 10.This issue might be caused due to compatibility of hardware or drivers. We would suggest you to install the drivers using compatibility. To know how to install a program using compatibility, refer to the below article:Note: This article is designed for Windows 7, use this as a reference.Hope this information helps, for further assistance please reply. The version of the drivers mentioned in my post are specifically designed for Windows 10 - there should NOT be any compatibility problems with the driver set. Hi,Just a thought, have you checked if the speaker settings are set to 5.1 or 7.1 instead of stereo? If not, Look at the icons near the digital clock for the Realtek speaker symbol (brown) and double left click to get settings window. If it's not there, right click on white speaker symbol and select Playback Devices. Then Speakers, the select Configure and on the next screen, tick the box forFull-Range Speakers.I hope it helps.kind regards,MarkThanks for thinking of that. I have checked prior to posting here and yes, the speakers I have and the choice of speaker type is correctly set to Stereo - there is no Full-Range Speakers choice listed. I am running SuperMicro PDSGE with Realtek AC97 audio.
After install of Windows 10 (Version 10.0.10240) yesterday, my computer blue screens with RTKVAC64.SYS a sthe problem. Uninstalled audio device through safe mode, no Realtek drivers available from Realtek's website work. Audio worked just fine in Win7 prior to installation of Windows 10 Release yesterday 7/30/2015 (Version 10.0.10240). Device Manager does notfind any compatible driver available and does not allow manual installation of driver. I ran into the same problem and followed the same steps. I was able to fix it by updating the driver directly from the device manager. Here are the steps I followed:. From the start menu, go to Settings, Devices, Device Manager.
In the device manager, find and expand the section 'Sound, video and game controllers'. Right click on the entry labeled 'Realtek High Definition Audio.' . Select 'Update Driver Software.' .
Select 'Search automatically for updated driver software.' . After selecting this, an updated driver was installed and my sound was working. On my Dell Precision T3610, the bad driver was dated and had a version of 6.0.1.7535. After updating the driver, it was replaced with driver version 6.0.1.6075 dated.s.
OisiPrice,Thanks for the response, I am relieved to see that I'm not Robinson Crusoe.Sounds to me as if we have the exact same problem, I too can see signs that my speakers are getting sound but nothing can be heard, no matter how I configure the system. Looks to me as if either Microsoft jumped the gun getting W10 out into the wild ordevelopers are being a bit tardy in issuing drivers for the new OS. Either way, it looks as if I need to get a soundcard with W10 drivers, I can't wait for the buggers to play catch-up.Wal.
You may need to update your drivers. I had the Realtek 7535 drivers installed and was routinely getting a click and then a reduction in sound that would last a couple of seconds, then return to normal.
I downloaded driver 7544 and audio is working perfectly!!!Go to Playback devices in your realtek audio manager, select Speakers and Headphones and click properties. The 'general' page will give you another 'properties' button for the controller.
Click that and then 'driver updates.' Driver 7544 will download andinstall automatically, no need to uninstall anything, etc. Hope that's the fix!
